赤毛のアンは皆さんご存知の通り、カナダ人のモンゴメリー(Montgomery)が書いた小説で原題はAnne of Green Gables(直訳すると緑の屋根のアン）となっています。皆さんではイタリアでは赤毛のアンはどう呼ばれているが知っていますか？
実はAnne dai capelli rossiなんです。まさに赤毛のアン、不思議ですよね。これはもともとの作品がイタリアではあまり知られておらず、最初に多くのイタリア人が目にしたのが実は日本のアニメだったことからきています。作者の子孫がイタリアに行ったら驚くことでしょう。
余談ですがmontgomeryはイタリアではダッフルコートを指す言葉で、もともと商標からきています。発音はモンゴメリー、モントゴメリーどちらでも通じます。
Do you know how Anna Green Gables is called in Italia ? You know it is called in Japan ‘a-ka-ge-no Ann ‘ which means Ann of red hair and in Italia it is called in Japanese way Ann dai Capelli Rossi which means in Italian ‘red hair’.
This is because in Italia for the first time it was introduced as a form of animation of Japanese so-called ‘ Anime’.
