This is the English version of the article ‘ acqua dolceは甘い水ではない’
In Italian there is a word ‘acqua dolce’ but this does not mean the ‘water with sweet taste’.
It seems very strange but ‘acqua dolce’ means the ‘ fresh water’. The water with sweet taste is ‘ acqua zuccherara’ in Italian.
By the way In Japanese ‘ fresh water’ is ‘mamizu’ which literally means the ‘ true water’.
