‘Bianco sporco’ literally means ‘dirty white’ in Italian but it is wrong.
In this usage there is no negative connotation.
Really this means ‘ off- white” or ‘shades of white‘ which contains variety of colors.
As for other colors like red ,the word ‘scuro ‘is used such as ‘ rosso scuro’.
